Primary Club Luncheon. Clive Thornton MBE is an English former cricketer, who played eight Tests and four One Day Internationals for England. He was selected as one of the five Wisden Cricketers of the Year in 1979. Neil John Dexter is a South African-born English cricketer, currently playing for Leicestershire. Northants current coach David Ripley is a former England cricketer who played for Northamptonshire in county cricket from 1984-2001 and is holding the 20/20 Trophy, which this year was won by Northants Country Cricket Club. Michael Savage who organised the event for the Primary Club is holding a bat, signed by the England and Australian Test Players of the 1977 series, which was Auctioned during the Luncheon. John Lever MBE is an English former cricketer, who played in 21 Tests and 22 ODIs for England from 1976 to 1986. Robin Birkby Matthews is a former Leicestershire cricketer.
