A 3000 nautical mile ocean rowing race from from La Gomera in The Canary Islands to Antigua, which kicks off on December 2nd 2013. During the course of the race, teams row in grueling 2 hours shifts for a minimum of 40 days. The energy they generate equates to 1,228 KWH, which is enough to power Tower Bridge for 24 hours. The race is notoriously tough; more people have been to space than have rowed the Atlantic. He was joined by amputee Cpl Rory Mackenzie who participated in the race in 2011.
